You may have seen it already: we have been nominated for the Computable Awards in the Large Business Project category! We are extremely proud that, together with Swisslog, we have received this nomination for our innovative AutoStore solution. This is already a great honour for us, but winning would be the icing on the cake! For everyone involved in this project and for the colleagues who work with the AutoStore every day to deliver your PENDLR parcels quickly and efficiently, this would be a fantastic reward.
What makes our AutoStore so special?
Our AutoStore solution has brought about a true transformation within PENDLR. This fully automated warehouse allows us to serve you even faster and more efficiently:
- 29.000 boxes: We manage a wide variety of products in our warehouse, always ready to be picked up and shipped.
- 65 robots: These robots continuously drive around and accurately pick orders. We carefully combine these orders with larger items so that we can ship as much as possible in one package. This increases efficiency and reduces waste and unnecessary CO₂ emissions.
- Efficiency: Since installing the AutoStore, our storage capacity has increased by 30% and we can process 25% more order lines. This not only means larger stock, but also faster delivery and more flexibility to respond to our customers' needs.
This technological innovation has not only greatly improved our own process, but also contributes to a more sustainable way of working. By making smarter and more efficient use of space, time and packaging materials, we are taking an important step towards a more sustainable future.
